You’ll serve as a technical partner during evaluation, onboarding, and expansion, guiding teams through architectural decisions, building proof of concepts, and helping them integrate WorkOS products.This is a customer-facing, pre‑sales position that bridges technical expertise with sales strategy. You'll engage early in the sales cycle, partnering with Account Executives, evaluating prospects’ needs, delivering technical presentations and proof‑of‑concepts, and guiding clients through solution design, onboarding, and expansionThis role is ideal for someone who is an experienced solutions engineer, a clear and empathetic communicator, and passionate about helping other developers succeed. You’ll work cross-functionally across Sales, Developer Success, and Engineering to ensure customers get the most out of our platform—while contributing to the ongoing development of our SE function and tooling.

Responsibilities ✔️

  • Act as a technical advisor to engineers, product managers, and technical leaders, guiding architectural decisions and best practices to help customers get the most out of WorkOS
  • Develop and maintain reusable assets, including code examples, proof of concept applications, demo environments, and demo assets
  • Lead the technical evaluation phase with prospects—gather requirements, assess use cases, and align on architectural fit
  • Present technical demos and lead technical onboarding and implementation planning sessions to ensure customer success
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop deep technical knowledge of WorkOS and its roadmap
  • Provide structured feedback and work closely within the Developer Success and Engineering teams
  • Design and articulate technical solutions that solve critical business challenges for a variety of companies
  • Build and maintain strong technical relationships with enterprise customers, ensuring long-term integration health and expansion opportunities

Qualifications 🌟

  • 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role (e.g., Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer), ideally in a B2B SaaS or developer tools company
  • Fluency with software development
  • Proven experience supporting a technical sales process and driving successful outcomes with engineering and product stakeholders
  • Excellent communicator - able to explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong engineering background with familiarity across web technologies, APIs, authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML), and software architecture patterns
  • Creative problem-solver who enjoys tackling open-ended technical challenges with curiosity and precision
  • Fast learner with a builder’s mindset - eager to explore new technologies and help shape product direction

The annual US base salary falls within the range of $180,000 to $200,000 OTE. This range does not encompass the full spectrum of benefits such as equity, health insurance, vacation time, and paid parental leave.
