Why this role?

We are launching a new business unit focused exclusively on securing AI-native applications. As the founding Solutions Engineer (SE) on this team, you will be a technical innovator, operating in startup mode inside a scaled company. You will partner with account teams to win our earliest design partners, guiding them through technical validation, and shaping how our solution delivers value.

This isn't a typical pre-sales role; you will wear multiple hats: architect, product advisor, trusted technical advisor, and market evangelist. Your insights will directly influence product-market fit, competitive differentiation, and customer adoption at a critical, early stage of AI security.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the technical sales cycle from discovery through delivery, partnering with account teams.
• Deliver story-led demos, workshops, and high-impact proofs of values (PoVs) for AI security use cases.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with customers’ AI Security Engineers, DevSecOps teams, Privacy Officers, and CISOs to define success criteria and demonstrate value.
• Capture customer needs, gaps, and feedback to feed directly into Product, Engineering, and Marketing to shape the roadmap.
• Benchmark against competitive offerings and help refine our value positioning and repeatable playbooks for evaluation.
• Act as a field CTO for strategic accounts; guiding best practices in AI security and representing Snyk at AI security forums and developer conferences.

What You Bring:

• You have 5+ years of experience in Application Security, DevSecOps, or Cloud Security, with a focus on pre-sales or customer-facing technical roles.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML frameworks, developer tools, and secure coding practices.
• You bring deep technical knowledge and a foundational background in languages like Python or JavaScript.
• Demonstrated success running PoVs with enterprise customers and the ability to translate complex security concepts into clear business value.
• You possess curiosity, initiative, and a bias for action, comfortable operating in ambiguous, early-stage environments without a playbook.

It’d Be Awesome If You Also…

• Have hands-on experience with AI/LLMs or modern AI security tools.
• Bring prior startup or early product launch experience, especially in the developer tools space.
• Love solving complex problems with a collaborative team and aren't afraid to challenge the status quo.
