Overview

The Partner Skilling Program Manager – Partner is responsible for driving GitHub’s global partner skilling and readiness strategy across Global Systems Integrators (GSIs) and  Cloud Solution Providers (CSPs). This role ensures that partners are fully equipped to position, sell, and deliver GitHub solutions in alignment with Microsoft’s ecosystem.

As part of the GitHub Learn team, this individual will design, execute, and scale technical readiness programs that build partner capability, accelerate certification attainment, and drive adoption of GitHub solutions across enterprise and commercial customers. The ideal candidate is a strategic, data-driven enablement leader who thrives in global collaboration and is passionate about empowering partners to succeed through learning.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the global partner skilling strategy for GSIs, RSIs, CSPs, and GitHub-only partners, ensuring both onboarding and ongoing development are impactful and scalable.
  • Drive partner readiness by equipping sales and technical teams with foundational GitHub product knowledge, value messaging, and the ability to leverage GitHub and Microsoft’s combined resources.
  • Champion partner attainment of GitHub Product Certifications and Partner Sales Credentials, embedding continuous sales and technical sales skilling into partner enablement frameworks.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of partner-focused skilling content for strategic events, including GitHub Partner Kick-Off (PKO) and Partner Day Zero at GitHub Universe, positioning GitHub as a trusted advisor in partner success.
  • Direct GitHub’s enablement presence across Microsoft bootcamps, training programs, and partner channels, ensuring consistent integration and maximum impact.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders across GitHub Learn, Microsoft Training & Enablement, Sales, Product, and Marketing to align partner skilling efforts with global business priorities and growth objectives.
  • Guide the development and governance of partner-facing enablement assets—including playbooks, pitch decks, competitive insights, and customer case studies—ensuring accuracy, scalability, and relevance.
  • Curate and deliver high-impact enablement experiences such as partner summits, webinars, and bootcamps that scale readiness, accelerate adoption, and strengthen partner influence in the market.
  • Partner with data and insights teams to establish clear metrics for certification attainment, learning engagement, and partner readiness ROI.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of GitHub’s global partner enablement infrastructure, aligning content, systems, and data with Microsoft’s Partner Skilling and Worldwide Learning ecosystem.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years experience in training facilitation, training design and development, adult learning theory, instructional design, enablement, or equivalent field
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Education, Business, Psychology, or a related field AND 5+ years experience in training facilitation, training design and development, adult learning theory, instructional design, enablement, or equivalent field
    • OR Master's Degree in Instructional Design, Learning and Development, or related field AND 3+ years experience in training facilitation, training design and development, adult learning theory, instructional design, enablement, or equivalent field
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of partner ecosystems, particularly within Microsoft’s Global Partner Solutions (GPS) or Worldwide Learning (WWL) organizations.
  • Proven success in leading global enablement or training initiatives that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience designing or implementing certification programs, sales enablement frameworks, or technical bootcamps at scale.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9+ years experience in training facilitation, training design and development, adult learning theory, instructional design, enablement, or equivalent field
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Education, Business, Psychology, or a related field AND 7+ years experience in training facilitation, training design and development, adult learning theory, instructional design, enablement, or equivalent field
    • OR Master's Degree in Instructional Design, Learning and Development, or related field AND 5+ years experience in training facilitation, training design and development, adult learning theory, instructional design, enablement, or equivalent field
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience using learning technologies and learning management systems.
  • Experience working within or alongside Microsoft’s partner ecosystem (GSIs, RSIs, or CSPs).
  • Knowledge of learning experience platforms (LMS/LXP), certification frameworks, and digital skilling technologies.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and enablement best practices.

Compensation Range

The base salary range for this job is USD $103,200.00 - USD $273,700.00 /Yr.

These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
