Overview

The Customer Enablement Program Manager plays a pivotal role in helping GitHub customers successfully adopt and realize value from GitHub products and solutions. This role translates strategic enablement priorities into scalable, customer-facing learning programs that drive adoption, retention, and business outcomes.

As a member of the GitHub Learn team, this individual will design, deliver, and operationalize customer enablement experiences—spanning workshops, certifications, digital learning, and role-based training. The ideal candidate is passionate about customer success, learning design, and technology adoption, and thrives at the intersection of product, learning, and engagement strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Customer Enablement strategy by translating strategic enablement priorities into scalable, customer-facing learning programs.
  • Build and implement learning architectures and frameworks that help customers adopt GitHub effectively across roles, teams, and organizational contexts.
  • Develop tactical content, role-based learning assets, and customized customer learning plans to increase product usage and adoption.
  • Contribute to multimodal enablement initiatives—including workshops, certifications, and digital learning—ensuring content is practical, engaging, and aligned with customer needs.
  • Partner with customer stakeholders and internal GitHub teams (Product, Sales, and Learning) to ensure enablement aligns with customer objectives and the GitHub roadmap.
  • Track adoption metrics, learner engagement, and enablement outcomes to demonstrate impact and support continuous improvement.
  • Provide additional scale and execution capacity to customer enablement efforts, enabling GitHub Learn to reach and support more customers globally.
  • Collaborate with Learning Operations, Marketing, and Product Enablement teams to promote enablement initiatives across GitHub and Microsoft ecosystems.
  • Maintain deep product understanding and continuously update enablement materials to reflect new features, best practices, and customer feedback.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in training facilitation, training design and development, adult learning theory, instructional design, enablement, or equivalent field
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Education, Business, Psychology, or a related field AND 3+ years experience in training facilitation, training design and development, adult learning theory, instructional design, enablement, or equivalent field
    • OR Master's Degree in Instructional Design, Learning and Development, or elated field AND 1+ year(s) experience in training facilitation, training design and development, adult learning theory, instructional design, enablement, or equivalent field
    • OR equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of customer adoption journeys and learning experience design principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional stakeholders in a global organization.
  • Experience developing or managing customer-facing training programs, workshops, or certification pathways.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years experience in training facilitation, training design and development, adult learning theory, instructional design, enablement, or equivalent field
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Education, Business, Psychology, or a related field AND 5+ years experience in training facilitation, training design and development, adult learning theory, instructional design, enablement, or equivalent field
    • OR Master's Degree in Instructional Design, Learning and Development, or related field AND 3+ years experience in training facilitation, training design and development, adult learning theory, instructional design, enablement, or equivalent field
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) experience using learning technologies and learning management systems.
  • Knowledge of learning technologies, digital learning platforms, and LMS/LXP systems.
  • Background in instructional design, project management, or developer education.
  • Experience scaling global learning or enablement programs through automation, localization, and analytics.

Compensation Range

The base salary range for this job is USD $85,000.00 - USD $225,400.00 /Yr.

These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
