Director, Professional Services and Delivery
Posit PBC is looking for a strategic and operationally-minded Director of Professional Services and Delivery to lead, scale, and evolve our post-sales technical functions. As a leader in the open-source data science ecosystem, our customers rely on us to help them deploy complex, enterprise-grade analytics infrastructure and help drive adoption of Posit solutions. This role sits at the critical intersection of "The Sale" and "The Value." You aren't just managing people; you are managing the bridge between complex products and tangible business outcomes.
You will be responsible for the health and growth of four distinct functions within the Professional Services and Delivery organization (10+ people). Your mission is to ensure that every customer realizes the full value of the Posit ecosystem through world-class onboarding, strategic technical guidance, and expert delivery.
At Posit, we value authenticity and technical curiosity. We aren't just looking for a "director", we are looking for a builder who understands the unique challenges of deploying data science tools in highly regulated, complex enterprise environments.
What You’ll Own:
You will oversee the strategy, outcomes, management and performance of the following functions:
- Onboarding Team: Standardize the "First 90 Days" experience. You’ll ensure new customers and those expanding into new products have a seamless transition from sales to production-level adoption of their purchase.
- Partner Delivery Team: Scalability is key. You will build the framework to enable our global partner network, ensuring they have the technical excellence required to deliver Posit solutions to end-customers successfully.
- Technical Account Manager (TAM) Team: You will lead the team focused on proactive technical partnership with our customers acting as a key member to the overall Account Team. Posit TAMs act as the "technical glue" within the Account Team, driving long-term adoption and maturity for our largest enterprise clients.
- Delivery & Technical Escalations: Optimize a high-impact team focused on scoped engagements (SOWs), specific use-case deployments, and serving as the "cavalry" for critical account-level technical escalations.
About You:
- Experience: Significant experience in Professional Services, with experience in a leadership role scaling Professional Services and Delivery teams within a B2B enterprise software organization.
- Technical Domain: Proven experience with technically complex on-premise deployments and, ideally, an understanding of the reporting, analytics, or data science software landscape.
- Strategic Growth: Demonstrated success in building service packages, delivering against key KPIs (CSAT, Time-to-Value, Utilization), and scaling teams from the ground up.
- Partner Ecosystems: Experience in a "partner-first" or "partner-heavy" delivery models.
- Organizational Influence: Ability to manage upwards and sideways to align resources and resolve cross-departmental friction.
- Scalability: Experience building playbooks and converting individual "heroics" into repeatable, measurable processes.
- Management: Coaching, hiring, and capacity modeling. Ability to enable individual performance and develop leaders.
- Mission-Driven: Alignment with Posit’s mission to support open-source software and the data science community.
